Head Chef and co-owner of the Square, a modern French restaurant in the West End of London that holds 2 Michelin Stars. In 2009, Philip Howard celebrated his 18th year as chef-patron of The Square, the Mayfair restaurant he first set up in1991 with his partner Nigel Platts-Martin. Known for his classy, but seasonal French food, he has spent much of his career nurturing young chefs and enjoys showcasing his protégés - he is also co-owner of The Ledbury in Notting Hill where, head chef and partner, Brett Graham has achieved much acclaim. He is considered to be a chef's chef.
